Opening a bank account for your company
As a business owner, it is advisable to open a separate bank account. This has the major benefit that it gives you a better perspective of the financial affairs of your business. So much so that if you are setting up as a company, opening a bank account is compulsory.
Opening an account as a natural person (one-man business) means the account is opened in your own name. Opening an account as a legal person (company) requires the account to be made out to the name of the business.
The company account must be different from your private account and may be used only for transactions in connection with your activities as a self-employed worker.
Moreover, it is compulsory to make sure all of your business's commercial documents (invoices, quotes, etc.) specify this account number, along with your trade name.
